This is a question that comes to the mind of every young person who is eager to know what is next in life. The question is about more than just knowing the next step to take in life as a young adult. It covers our innermost thoughts, that is our fear of the unknown, our fear of what the future would turn out to be, if our hard work will pay off or not, if our dreams and aspirations will come to pass…we keep on wondering if the state of the world will still be aligned with our dreams or if it is just going to pull us back because the world has moved past that stage.
With a lot of anxiety, some of us forget that we are young and we forget to live in the moment. We spend our entire youth worrying about our future. Are we really concerned about what’s next? Or are we just trying to overcome the anxiety and fear? This is a question no one can answer, because no one really knows the future. We can only make our dreams happen through resilience, consistency, motivation, hard work and zeal.
“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” -Steve Jobs. This is a quote every youth should live by.
Follow your heart, trust your intuition and work hard. It might not lead you to being the most successful man in the world but it will make you a man that lived life well, fulfilled his heart desires and made an impact; not just a man that survived. We are young. This is the time to get it right, but also the time to live and not just exist. So what’s next?
