7 September 2024 – Applications Open

8 October 2024 – Applications Close

14 – 18 October 2024 – Onboarding of Applicants

21 October 2024 – Commencement of Track 1 (Personal and Professional Excellence)

11 November 2024 – Commencement of Track 2 (Leadership, Culture, and Customer Experience)

9 – 13 December 2024 – Certification for Tracks 1 & 2

13 January 2025 – Commencement of Track 3 (Growth, Innovation, and Strategy)

17 – 21 February 2025 – Certification for Track 3

Programme Tracks

GemP has three programme tracks. Each track includes a series of training and coaching experiences. (The Growth, Innovation, and Strategy Track is offered on an invitation-only basis).

Personal and Professional Excellence (PPE) Track

An organization can only be as good as the people who make it up. For the whole to be better than the sum of the parts, the parts need to have a positive orientation.  

The Personal and Professional Excellence (PPE) track of the GemP focuses on individual members of teams and organizations with a view to fostering personal excellence by using the GEMLIFE model. (GEMLIFE is a model of personal excellence representing the 7 essential dimensions of life – GOD, Exercise, Money, Leadership, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Expression).

The PPE track also includes training on basic and essential soft skills that promote workplace excellence.

Leadership, Culture, and Customer Experience (LCEE) Track

There are two ways to move a car –  push it or drive it. Attempting to optimize customer experience without (or before) paying attention to organizational leadership and team culture is tantamount to pushing a car instead of driving it.

The Leadership, Culture, and Customer Experience (LCCE) Track of the GemP was designed to train individuals in the art of true leadership, build psychological safety within teams, foster the creation and propagation of positive culture, and drive great customer experience.

The LCCE track is offered in partnership with Thought in Motion™.

Subscribing to basic GemP sessions gives access to basic concepts of selected modules while subscribing to immersive GemP sessions gives unrestricted access to all modules including coaching sessions and pre- and post-immersive surveys (through which changes and improvements are objectively assessed).

Short answer: Yes, for immersive GemP tracks; no, for basic GemP sessions.

Certificates are issued only after successful completion of the programme and are not issued for participation in basic sessions

Short answer: No

However, PivotAfrica has partnered with Thought in Motion to offer the GemP at a highly subsidized rate and basic sessions free of charge.

GEMLIFE is a model of personal excellence and an acronym for the 7 essential dimensions of life – GOD, Exercise, Money, Leadership, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Expression. Immersive GemP tracks include GEMLIFE sessions and coaching.

Short answer: No

After GEMLIFE sessions, GEMLIFE coaching and other GemP content would only be accessible to those on immersive GemP tracks.

GemP is delivered both virtually (through our learning management system) and in-person. In-person sessions are organized for employees of our partner companies.

Expect to invest 4 to 5 hours every week.
